Kennet and Avon Canal
A popular attraction for visitors to the area is the Kennet and Avon Canal that runs through the heart of Wiltshire. The river walk and cycle path that runs along the Kennet and Avon canal is just a short walk away and offers the chance for a peaceful evening stroll. Just a few minutes away from us, are the Caen Hill Locks (below).
The Caen Hill Locks consist of 16 man made locks which provide a valuable insight into the kind of engineering needed to build and maintain the locks. There are a total of 29 locks on the Kennet and Avon Canal.
